Why The Turku region?
Suberb logistical location

At the meeting point of the East, the West and the Nordic countries

As you can see on the map of the Baltic Sea area, Turku is superbly located as a junction of Northern European traffic. Turku is the bridgehead between the growing markets of the East and West. The city also offers Finland’s best connections to Scandinavia. It’s no wonder that a number of logistics operations and key players have found their way to Turku.

Turku region is the multimodal transport centre of the Nordic Triangle

As part of the Trans-European Network (TEN), the Nordic Triangle traffic corridor that links together the capitals of Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and St. Petersburg is a key area of EU logistics development. Turku’s role is to link the different modes of transport in the Finnish section of the corridor to Sweden via a sea and train ferry connection. All densely populated areas of Sweden can be reached from Turku within 24 hours.

All modes of transport meet in LogiCity

Located at the junction of Turku Airport, railway connections to Russia and on to China, the motorway into Central Finland and the E18 ring road, the LogiCity area forms an attractive cluster for companies where efficient logistics are a key factor for success. Once the land use plan for the northern side of the airport has been completed, almost one million square metres of floor space will be open for construction.
